New range of variable-speed drives helps optimise industrial processes
A range of variable-speed drives (VSDs) will be launched at the 2025 Kwa Zulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE), to be held in Durban from 22 to 24 July.
Electronic motor control solutions company Varispeed is set to showcase the Alpha Drive range of VSDs at the expo and asserts that the range’s positive cost-to-benefit ratio, and options of both a low and medium voltage solution, will make it a popular choice for electronic motor control in most industries.
The HV320 model in the range features precise speed, torque, and position control functions suitable for both sensor and sensor-less synchronous/asynchronous motors, providing improved performance and stability for industry applications such as production, processing, food, chemical, metal processing, rubber, plastics, municipal and infrastructure.
The range is designed to optimise energy efficiency, equipment performance, and overall operational cost-effectiveness, and includes an advanced pre-programmed human-machine interface to allow for easy set-up, monitoring and management.
The company notes that, by reducing energy consumption, optimising processes, and improving equipment performance, VSDs can deliver substantial cost savings and provide a relatively quick return on investment for businesses and industries.
As the sole distributor of Yaskawa products in Southern Africa, Varispeed also designs tailored, energy-efficient solutions for pumps, fans, and complex systems.
